About the Job
As a train attendant, you will be one of VR's most important ambassadors in contact with our passengers. The job involves, among other things:
- providing excellent service to our passengers,
- ensuring a safe, secure, and pleasant journey,
- informing passengers via announcements and assisting with other inquiries,
- handling and reporting deviations according to applicable descriptions.
- being responsible for departure routines as your role includes safety service.

We are looking for both those who are trained and currently working as train attendants, as well as those who want to start their new career as a train attendant. You do not need prior experience as a train attendant - VR will train you!
Your Qualities
We prefer that you have previously worked in a service profession. As a train attendant, it is important that you feel comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English. You will work daily with our digital tools and have a good technical understanding and computer skills. You have a high school diploma or equivalent educational level.
As a person, you are driven by helping and meeting other people in your work. It is important for you to spread positive energy, and when needed, you are happy to help solve various situations. As a train attendant, you have an important responsibility for safety, and therefore you are also careful to follow the rules and guidelines that exist. Together with your colleagues, you create a world-class passenger experience.
Other Information
Employment: Fixed-term employment from 2025-05-05 to 2025-08-31, with good opportunities for permanent employment. We are looking for someone who can work throughout the entire period.
Scope: Full-time
Stationing Location: Fagersta
Training: Training begins on May 5, 2025, and it is therefore important that you are able to start your employment from this date. During the training period, travel to our various stationing locations will be included.
Working Hours: The work as a train attendant involves scheduled working hours that vary throughout the day. The scheduling is regulated by collective agreements, rules, and traffic.
